Who Should Attend: Nonprofit professionals who want to be prepared to navigate the federal grant process with confidence.
Many nonprofits are not successful with federal grants because they do not have the time or expertise to run effective project design meetings. This causes proposals to become rushed at the end and errors are made which ultimately cause the project to not be selected for funding. Understanding the essential elements of most federal grants and how to prioritize getting the information needed is a skill that can be learned and mastered. This session will step you through the project management skills needed to develop a federal grant on time while respecting the contributions of key personnel within your organization.
What You’ll Learn:
- Key components to a proposal development timeline and checklist
- How to design and run a series of proposal design meetings
- How to use charts like a logic model to get consensus and information about project activities quickly
