Effective and Ethical Grant Management

Grant management is a continuum directly related to grant readiness. It points to an organization’s ability to follow through on what it said it would do and follow established best practices for financial, data, and records management. Presenter Julie Assel, GPC, has over 15 years of experience managing foundation, corporate, and government grants and auditing grant processes for large urban school districts, hospitals, and behavioral health centers. She also consults with small nonprofits with only volunteer staff who receive their first grant and want to establish high-quality grant management practices from the ground up.

This training will take participants through standard compliance elements, the roles and responsibilities needed to implement these compliance elements, and effective grant management practices. Strategies will include universal practices and practices tailored to the size and complexity of the organization.
