Grant professionals are frequently expected to support program evaluation without formal training in evaluation methods. This advanced session equips participants with the knowledge needed to guide evaluation conversations, assess proposed methodologies, and align evaluation plans with funder expectations. Participants will explore quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, along with common evaluation designs, to support credible and realistic evaluation planning.
Participants will learn how to:
- Distinguish between quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches.
- Identify advantages and limitations of common evaluation methodologies.
- Differentiate experimental, quasi-experimental, and non-experimental designs.
- Support evaluation plans that are appropriate, feasible, and funder-aligned.
